Chatby Military
Cemetery in Alexandria, Egypt, contains
the graves of 618 ANZAC's many of whom died as a result of wounds or
illness incurred during the Gallipoli campaign of 1915 and who had been
evacuated to Egypt for treatment. Among the Cemetery's total of 2,762 Commonwealth
war
graves are also 47 Australians and 15 New Zealanders who were casualties
of the Second World War. |
